The u13/14 select boys teams are coached by Aron West with assistance by Eric Pealer, John Zimmer, and Mike Carper. Coach Aron is one of SESA pro staff coaches with over 10 years of coaching experience as well as college playing experience. Coach Aron is also the u15 girls coach, has coached at the high school level, and holds USSF grassroots 11v11, 9v9, 7v7, and multiple United Soccer Coaches diplomas. Coach Eric also brings years of coaching experience and is currently the head coach of the Danville boys team and assists with the u15 SESA boys team as well. Coach Zimmer has past coaching experience as well as playing experience at the DI level. Coach Carper has several years of rec and club level coaching.
The u13/14 group is a mix of ages with some players also playing with the u15 team. Having the ability to train and play with older players allows each individual player to receive more specific coaching and player to facilitate their development. At this stage the players are really mastering their technical skills and applying them to game situations, applying more tactical based concepts, team system and structure, and playing at the 11v11 level. The players are some of the most dedicated, creative, and fun players who are extremely passionate about soccer. The 13/14 age is a great time to join SESA, especially for players who have been playing soccer and are looking forward to playing in middle school and having high level coaching and competition year-round.
