The u9 Girls team was coached by Dr. Matt Knudson for the fall season and is coached by Assistant Director of Coaching Baret Ertzinger for the spring 2020 season. The u9 girls team focuses on learning outplaying and ball mastery skills. At this stage in their developments we want to foster a skill set that allows them to have control over the ball. This control then allows them to be more involved in the game and thusly enjoy it. Creativity and risk taking are highly encouraged of the players to allow them to make mistakes and learn. From this players are more confident in themselves and comfortable playing in a growth mindset- but of course they also want to win! The team is competitive and appropriatly challenged as they continue to develop new skills and abilities in soccer. This is a fantastic group of bright, energetic, fun, and hardworking players passionate about soccer. This is a great stage of the game to join SESA and begin a players journey in soccer.
